Fifty years ago, three industrious and determined young men coming from different experiences in the mechanical sector united their resources and capabilities and decided to try to start a new business. The activity started in 1958 with the prefabrication and erection of vessels and towers for the realization of a chemical plant in a small town in the province of Varese (Italy). The first jobs were very simple, for instance the supply of steel structures. Their sacrifice and their will overcame very often the lack of machineries and equipment. In 1962 the first job in Sardinia for the erection of some equipment of a new chemical plant in Porto Torres was awarded to SICES. Today the sons of the promoting partners lead a group with more than 1000 employees and different workshops and offices located in Italy, Poland, Libya, Greece and Egypt.
